Resident Evil & REmake

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think that any of the sequels truly captured the magic of the first game. I mean the atmosphere was great, but what truly intensified it was the sense of mystery surrounding the mansion and the monsters in it. You learned more and more with every note, and by the end of the game I actually felt like I had solved a mystery. The sequels have focused more on the cinematic feeling, which is great, but just not the same.
